Apartments in Pałac Pod Baranami occupy the third floor of a historic building at Main Square 27. Below them is the Kino Pod Baranami cinema, and below that the famous Piwnica pod Baranami cabaret. High ceilings, wooden floors and the stucco on the staircase are part of the stay here.

There are four rooms to choose from, from 18 to 45 m². Apartment 1 has its own bathroom and its own kitchenette. Rooms 2 and 3 share a bathroom with a washing machine, and together with apartment 4 they share a fully equipped kitchen. Apartment 4 has its own bathroom.

The windows face the side street of św. Anny, so despite the square beyond the gate it is quiet here at night. There is no lift in the building, and all the rooms are on the third floor. There is no air conditioning either. The locks are code operated, so you can check in at any hour from 3:00 pm.

Apartments Main Square Krakow: getting here

The building stands right on the Main Square, in the pedestrian zone. From Kraków Główny railway station it is about a fifteen-minute walk. From Kraków Airport (Balice) the easiest option is the train to Kraków Główny station, then a tram or taxi. Cars cannot drive up to the building, so it is best to leave yours in a public car park outside the very centre.

What’s nearby

Step out of the gate and the Cloth Hall, St. Mary’s Basilica and the whole Main Square are right there. Grodzka Street takes you to Wawel Castle in a short walk. The famous Pod Baranami Cinema and Piwnica pod Baranami cabaret are in the same building, and restaurants and cafés are everywhere around.

Who it’s for

For guests who want to stay in the very heart of the city, in a historic interior with high ceilings. The largest apartment sleeps four, the smaller rooms suit couples. All interiors are on the third floor with no lift and no air conditioning, so we don’t recommend them for guests with limited mobility or who struggle with heat.
